Kanako began her career as a hairstylist in New York in 1998. After 13 years working at renowned five-star salons—including Warren Tricomi—and contributing to numerous photoshoots and fashion shows, she proudly opened her own space, Kanako Salon, in the Lower East Side in 2011. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the salon moved to a new home in the Financial District in 2021, and later relocated to its current Herald Square location in 2024. This new space allows Kanako to offer an even more private and comfortable experience for every client. All hair types, genders, and age groups are warmly welcome!

CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand life happens and schedules change but your help by providing us at least 24-hour notice for an appointment cancellation will help us provide a seamless and efficient salon experience for our other clients. We do reserve the right to charge a fee of 50% of the scheduled service(s) for short-notice cancellations and appointment no-shows. Thank you for your understanding.
Commitment to the safety of customers
Kanako Salon adheres to strict government safety policies when it comes to COVID-19 because we truly care when it comes to safety. We take temperature logs and have installed extra sanitizing stations throughout the salon. We are trained on proper PPE and disinfecting the work areas and always use the proper sterilization method with all our tools and equipment.
